Officials from Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka visit Horizon Lanka, Mahavilachchiya on February 24, 2007 and decides to replicate Horizon Lanka model ICT and English education islandwide.
The mesh community network in Mahavilachchiya was officially launched by Mr Lalith Weeratunga, the Secratary to the President of Sri Lanka and the Chairman of the TRC in November 2006.
